A Day At Champney's Spa Tring

Every once in a while a girl deserves a treat and what better way to treat yourself then a day at the spa! So my mum and I book ourselves in for a spa day at Champneys in Tring. A quick 10 minute drive from home this countryside spa is the perfect place to relax and put our feet up.

Upon arrival we were greeted and checked in, we each received our personalised day plan with lunch booking and spa treatments as well as a pair of flip flops. We were then shown through to the breakfast room where we could help ourselves to tea, coffee, fresh juice and a selection of food. I opted for fresh fruit, granola, yogurt and a fresh carrot juice, whilst my mum opted for coffee and smoked salmon cream cheese bagels.

First stop for us after breakfast was the pool, we enjoyed a gentle swim before joining the aqua fit class. After our swim we headed to the gardens for stroll. One of the lovely things about Champneys Tring is it's countryside setting, surrounded by open countryside it is such a peaceful place.

After walking round the garden we headed to the gym to try out the Barre Fusion class. Neither my mum or I had ever done anything like this before but we loved it. The class instructor was great and pushed us just hard enough so that we got the best out of our workout.

After working up quite a sweat we hit the showers and then got wrapped up in our fluffy dressing gowns before heading to the dining room for lunch.

I was really impressed by the extensive meal selection on offer. The food all look amazing, freshly prepared and healthy. For starters I had the carrot and orange soup, followed by fresh steamed greens, spinach and ricotta pasta and cauliflower bake. For desert I had a delicious mango mouse.

After a busy morning of working out and eating we spent the afternoon relaxing in the garden reading our books and sipping on tea. We also each had a treatment, I went for a hot stone massage which was incredibly relaxing and much needed after the mornings exercise and my mum opted for a full body massage.

Overall we both had a fantastic day and left feeling completely relaxed. I will definitely be booking myself and return visit soon, after all every girl does deserve a treat!
