Barrista Style Coffee At Home With Pact

If you are a coffee addict like myself and can't get through the day without a hot steaming cup then Pact may be the best subscription service ever! Pact is fresh coffee delivered straight to your door as frequently as you like, I gave the service a go and here's what I thought.

I came across Pact when I received a flyer in a recent online order, the concept quickly got my attention and I decided to go ahead a place myself an order. You start by simply registering your detail then are given a series of short questions to see what your coffee needs are this includes; how you brew your coffee, how often you drink coffee then finally which coffee would you like to try.

There are 9 different types of coffee including one decaf and one Nespresso pod variety. Each coffee comes with a clear description so you can choose the one that's perfect for your own personal taste. I went for the cafeteria brew and opted to try the Fazenda Chapada coffee.

A bit about Fazenda Chapada:
“This coffee starts with the elegance of milk chocolate melting slowly in your mouth, revealing a lingering, creamy, toffee sweetness and flavour - just like a chocolate toffee.”

Sitio Chapada can be found in the municipality of Carmo de Minas, which is located Minas Gerais - a state in the south of Brazil. Minas Gerais is the main producer of coffee in the country. This is due to the cooler climate and higher altitudes.

Marcus Carvalho inherited the farm from his father in-law, before that he was a professional soccer player, who played for a number of big teams in Brazil. His experience was incredibly limited, but through a great deal of hard work, he’s managed to learn the trade. Today, the coffee produced by Sitio Chapada is among some of the best in the world.
Marcus realised the importance of timing his harvest. Picking at the right moment greatly increases the quality of the beans, but when the time came many local workers were already picking for other farms. To combat this, Marcus thought nothing of paying his workers more. As a result he’s able to produce a much better quality of coffee.

What I find really great about this subscription service is that not only do you get great tasting coffee delivered straight to your door but you also get to learn more about the coffee growing process and can start to learn more about the different varieties of coffee.

Now I'm no coffee connoisseur and can't claim to be but all I can say is that I know when something tastes good and this coffee was beautiful! I usually like my coffee strong and sweet but thought I would try this one first without adding any sugar or syrups. The coffee has a naturally sweet taste and doesn't have the bitter taste that instant coffees often have. I am really impressed with the taste and quality of this coffee and I think it is probably one of the nicest coffees I have ever tried.

The next coffee on my hit list is the Manila San Ignacio brew from Guatemala it has flavours of Blackcurrant, Peach and Melon which sounds like a delicious combination, perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast.

If you want to try Pact for yourself and get your first bag for only a £1 use the code:
This subscription service would also be a great idea to send someone as a gift, so if you know a fellow coffee lover why not treat them today!
