Keeping things natural is my main aim when applying makeup. Not only do I not like the feel of to much makeup sitting on my skin, I also don't think heavily applied makeup looks good on me. At the weekend I like to take a little more time over applying my make up and I like to try out new products.
I tend to stick to the same primer and foundation, appyling in light layers with a big fluffy brush. My favourite brush to use is the Tarte Airbrush Finish Buffer Brush it's fluffy head and densely packed hairs means it's really quick to buff in foundation, leaving a even base.
When it comes to contour, highlight and blush I'm not very brand loyal. I like to experiment with different shades and formulas. Ive found for a really natural look cream based formulas are the best, but if you want to add some real depth and definition to your face then powders are far more buildable.
When it comes to eyes nothing beats Urban Decay naked palettes. I have the Naked 2 and 3 palettes and between the two of them I've got plenty of eyeshadow shades to play around with. If your looking for an allrounder eyeshadow palette the Naked palettes are great because they contain a mix of matt and shimmer shades.
My lipstick is also something I like to play around with and mix up. I like to try lots of new brands and formulas out to see how well each one lasts on my lips. My favourite lip products are liquid lipsticks which have great staying power. I like something that's love maintenance and that I don't have to worry about rubbing off every time I drink or eat.
