Autumn Pamper Night Routine

With the weather changing it's the perfect time to treat yourself to a night of pampering. I find as the weather gets colder my skin starts to become drier and more sensitive. This is mainly caused by the constant changing for the outside chill and indoor central heating. Here are some of my favourite products for keeping my skin and hair feeling nice through the colder season.

Firstly I like to start off my pamper routine by applying a hydrating hair mask. Having long hair means that the ends tend to get dry and to prevent split ends I like to use a hair mask at least once a week. I like to apply a hair mask when my hair is dry because I fell it allows the mask to work more effectively. I simply brush through my hair with my Tangle Teaser then apply the mask through the lengths and ends of my hair. I take time to make sure every stand gets covered in product. The mask I am loving at the moment is the L'ANZA Keratin Healing Oil Intensive Hair Masque. This is a rich, thick masque that smells incredible and leaves me hair feeling silky soft.

I will be doing a full review on the L'ANZA Keratin Healing Oil range soon so if you want to know more about it then check back soon.

Next I like to move onto a bit of body pampering, I think everyone wants soft, silky smooth skin and the best way I have found to achieve this is through exfoliating (I know what a shocker). There are so many different types of exfoliators on the market and finding the one thats perfect for you can be a bit of a challenge. I have tried and tested loads of body scrubs and have found my favourite the is a salt scrub which leaves a moisturising finish.

At the moment I am working my way through this mega tub of Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub. This is a salt based scrub that is mixed with mixed with moisturising coconut, jojoba and sweet almond oils. The scrub does have large salt particles which when worked into the skin help to remove any dry skin, while the oils hydrate the skin and leave it feeling moisturised. I think it's always good when using a salt scrub to have the moisturising oils because otherwise the salt can be to harsh on the skin leaving it raw and irritated.

Finally to the face, this is the step I take my time over and really to some serious pampering. I like to start by removing all my make up. I do this in one of two ways, I either remove it with a hot cloth cleanser or I apply cleanser all over my face in a light layer and use the Silk'n Sonic Clean to really work it into my skin, removing any impurities left behind by makeup or pollution.

Another way I also like to get a deep clean is by using a facial wash and the Silk'n Sonic Clean brush together. Again this helps to get deep into pores and remove dry skin and dirt from your face. The bristles on the Silk'n face brush are lovely and soft so it never causes and irritation. It also has 4 vibration settings so you can find the one that works best for your skin.

Once my skin is thoroughly clean I like to apply a gentle face mask. This Simple Kind To Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask works to get deep into pores and draws out any impurities. It is also packed with multi vitamins so helps to boast skins natural vitality. I leave this on for 5-10mins then just rinse it off with warm water and a facial cloth.

Finally once my whole routine is over and I am out of the bath or shower and dried I like to apply the La Biosthetique Patch Gel Liftant eye patches. These are the most amazing cooling and moisturising eye patches which you can apply and then sit back and relax. If I have had a busy week and my under eye area is looking tired these are the perfect thing to use for a boost of hydration and de-puff. Once on they look almost invisible so I tend to apply them and leave them on until all the product is absorbed into my skin. One of the great things about these is that they stick to the skin and don't fall off so you can still walk round the house, watch TV or read a book and not have to worry about them.

I hope you enjoyed this insight into my Autumn pamper routine. Let me know if you have any products that you like to pamper yourself with and I might give them a go!
