Makeup Revolution is supposed to be a great makeup brand which produce high quality products with a low price tag. I decided to get myself a few bits from their collection to see how they measured up.
The first products I went for were the Ultra Face Base Primer £5 and the Ultra Face Base Foundation £3. The primer is a nice light weight formula which feels silicon based in texture. It glides over the skin without feeling like it clogs up your pours. As it is a clear product it doesn't cause any colour or add any shimmer to your foundation, which means you can use it under pretty much any makeup.
The Ultra Face Base Foundation is supposed to be a BB cream Foundation which is ultra long lasting. I found that this gives very light overage but isn't very buildable. It is nice if you are happy with a very light base with a small hint of colour but I think it would be better described as a tinted moisturiser. The coverage that it gave did last the whole day which means it lives up to its ultra long lasting name.
The Focus and Fix Brow Kit in Light - Medium is one of my favourite products by Makeup Revolution costing only £2.50! This cute little kit comes complete with 3 brow shades, setting wax, tweezers and an angled brush. Its a super kit that contains everything you need for perfect brows all in one place. It is also small and compact enough to carry in your handbag so you can maintain your brows on the go.
Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice £6. For all blush lovers out there this is your dream palette, it has 6 highly pigmented matte blushes and 2 shimmery blush shades. The shimmery shades look very similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes but have a higher pigmentation.
Here is my makeup look using all the products above as well as the Naked 2 eyeshadow palette on my eyes, Illamasqua lipstick and Bourjois liquid eyeliner and mascara. My eyebrows look very warm (gingery) toned in this photo but they didn't look like that in reality, incase anyone is worried the brow kit will give a warm finish. The brow kit is actually more on the cool toned side so I don't know what happened here.
Makeup Revolution is available to purchase online here and is now being sold in most Superdrug stores in the UK.
