Makeup Haul

John Lewis had there Brand Match event on this weekend so I took the opportunity to grab some beauty bargains. Three of these products have been on my wish list and the other was more of an impulse buy.

The products I've been after for a while were the Benefit Better Than BB Big Easy which is a liquid to powder foundation, the Mac Lustre Lipstick in Patisserie and the Mac Lip Pencil in In Synch.

My impulse purchase was the Kiehls Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion, I haven't heard anything about this product before but it was at such a great price I wanted to give it a go. I will post a full review on it once I have had a chance to use it for a while.

(Apologies for awful photo I had no natural light)

The best bit of the whole haul is this Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Foundation and the Buffer Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush. The Tarte cosmetics range are hard to get your hands on in the UK so when I came across this unopened foundation and brush set on ebay I jumped at the chance to buy it. The shade of foundation I got was Fair Sand and thankfully it is the perfect shade for me. I wore this all day on both Saturday and Sunday and think I am in love! I have never been so impressed on first use of a foundation before. I will do a full post on this product so that I can go into detail about this product.

Duty Free Shopping

When I went to Thailand last month I had a few hours to kill at the airport and it would have been rude not to see what duty free had to offer. There was an enormous selection of beauty goodies to chose from but I limited myself to just two purchases. I decided to go for the travel exclusive products as I think they will be ideal for future trips.

I bought a Givenchy lip gloss set and a Lancome do all palette.

Givenchy Ultra-Shiny Color - Plumping Effect Gloss - £30

From left to right:
06 Lilac Confession, 07 Glamorous Fuchsia, 08 Sexy Pink, 01 Capricious Pink, 04 Rose Taboo

The glosses are a lovely creamy consistency which wears well on the lips. They are also highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. The size of each gloss is great because they can easily fit into a pocket without leaving an obvious bulge. I think my favourite shade out of this set is 01 Capricious Pink as it prides your lips with a lovely pop of bright pink.

Lancome Absolu Au Naturel - £34.95

The palette contains:
- Mini Virtuose Mascara: Noir
- 2 Concealers: Beige Clair 02 and Beige 03
- Powder Blusher: Highlighter Rose 01
- Solid Lip colour: 203
- Lip Gloss
- 8 Powder Eyeshadow: Ombre Absolue: White Duo D01, Gold F30, Pink Quad F30, Taupe Quad F20, Brown F60, Dark Grey Quad Q10, Black Quad G10 Ombre Hypnose: Pink I106
- Compact Powder: Translucide 01
- Mini Eyes and Eybrows Pencil
- Lumiere Defatiguante

This is a complete nude makeup palette which contains everything you need to do your whole makeup look. The palette even contains brushes and a makeup sponge so there really is no need to carry anything else. As always with Lancome products the makeup is of an amazing quality and I think you defiantly get more then your monies worth of products for the price.

As you can see this is a beautiful palette and I'm almost to scared to use it in case I mess it up. This is going to be great for an time I go traveling for a short period of time. It is also a massive space saver if you are only taking hand baggage on a flight as there is no need to lug multiple bottles or containers around.

The palette comes in a velvet case so you can put it in your bag for the day and not need to worry about the packaging getting damaged or the palette popping open.

Bloggers Love Fashion Week Day 2

The second day of bloggers love fashion week was another super event. On arrival I was greeted with a table full of delicious and cute chocolate cupcakes. I didn't manage to take many photos on the night because I was too busy talking to fellow bloggers but here are the few I managed to snap.

mmmm...

Samples of a new skincare line. Full review to follow soon

The catwalk on the night was super with five shows in total from different designers. We got to see a mix of casual wear, evening and wedding dresses as well as a cheeky lingerie show.

Bloggers Love Fashion Week Day 1

Bloggers Love fashion week was a fantastic event which ran over two days last week. Organised by the lovely Danielle from @bloggers_love it was a great event for bloggers to meet, check out the latest fashion trends and check out new beauty products.

The event took place in Leicester Square on the 7th & 8th floor of Number One Penthouse. The views across London were amazing!

These were some of my favourite prints of the evening

The fashion show featured some great looks for A/W with the key trends being metallics, prints and statement jewellery. Here are my three favourite looks from the show.

I forgot to take a full length photo on the night but here is a close up on my jewellery, nails and hair. I wore my hair lose with natural curls taming my fly aways with some Macadamia Nut oil. The nail polish I wore was the shade Parisian Chic by Red Carpet Manicure which is part of their at home gel nail collection. My jewellery is a mix of Anna Lou of London, Pandora and the small daisy was a 21st birthday present so I'm not sure where its from.

Thank you so much to Danielle for such an amazing night!

Anna Lou of London Launch Event

With London Fashion Week soon approaching its the time of year for brands to launch their new collections. I visited the Anna Lou of London new collection launch on Tuesday and decided to take my mum along with me. The launch took place at Ben's Canteen in Earlsfield, which is a restaurant with a lovely neighbourhood feel (I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area).

The launch included a showcase of the Anna Lou of London's new collection as well as displaying her existing collections. The new collection features a mix of beautifully bold acrylic pieces and delicate bespoke pieces.

Anna Lou of London is an online jewellery company which sells pieces for all budgets and tastes. All pieces are designed by Anna Lou and hand finished in Britain. Their bespoke and personalised pieces are my favourite out of all the collections. I also really like the gold and enamel chevron bangles, which look great stacked up.

Having seen the whole collection I couldn't resist putting together a wish list on my favourite pieces. The pieces which have caught my eye from the new collection are the Ever After Necklace and Studs. These pieces come in a choice or gold, rose gold or silver and have the sweet engraving of 'Happily ever after hand in hand till death do us part' which I think is a lovely token to show your love for someone.

My Thailand Adventure - Koh Yoa Yai

The last stop on my Thailand adventure was to the island of Koh Yoa Yai. After the excitement of the jungle and Bangkok my family and I decided to spend the last eight days of our trip relaxing by the beach. We were very lucky with the weather on the last week of our trip and it only rained for about an hour over lunch time which is pretty good considering it was monsoon season.

The resort we stayed in was stunning, newly opened the buildings and rooms were all made from wood which was left exposed with intricate carpentry detailing. The week we had here was a chance to really relax and just enjoy ourselves. I even treated myself to couple of massages and a whole body scrub.

Here are some snap shots of my final week. I did take hundreds but I won't bore you with them all.

My Thailand Adventure - Into the Jungle

After our lightening tour of Bangkok we decided to spend another 3 action packed days in the jungle. We were picked up early from our hotel in Phuket and had a three hour bus journey into the Thailand countryside. When we chose to go to Thailand we knew we wanted to do some sort of Elephant experience. There are so many different tours and one day excursions available but we decided to really get into the Jungle spirit and booked into Elephant Hills for a 3 day 2 night tour package.

Day 2 -  Cheow larn Lake

Having returned from Thailand I can now 100% say this was the highlight of my trip. The whole experience was incredible! The staff at Elephant Hills were wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and made you feel incredibly safe, even in the jungle. If you are visiting Thailand and are the sort of person who loves an adventure I would defiantly recommend taking three days out of your holiday to visit the jungle.
