Feeling Inspired

I gain a lot of inspiration from whats around me and from images I've seen online. I am a massive fan of Pinterest and put together collections of inspiring images. Its also a great place to upload my own images to share with others. Check out my collections here. Below are a few of my favourite images that have inspired me this month.

This table setting I think is a lovely way to up cycle old bulbs and a rustic wooden table setting. Mixed with the softness of the flowers an elegant setting is created.

This makeup look is ideal for spring. The use of a soft blue eyeliner makes blue eyes appear bigger and paired with a pink lip gives a bright and breezy look.

I have been straightening my hair a lot recently but this soft natural looking curl gives a more laid back hairstyle, ideal for summer.

Now winters over I can put away my dark toned clothing and move into a more neutral palette, this always makes me feel more summery and adding a metallic element, like the bag here will give your outfit an on trend look.

April Favourites

This month I have been making the most of the beautiful sunny, Spring days. I have changed from my Winter make-up routine and I am starting to favour a lighter and fresher look. I have been using the Simple brightening moisturiser as it gives my skin a soft dewy glow and when I'm having a good skin day I will just wear by itself. It also contains SPF10 so gives your skin the protection it needs.

For days and evenings when I need a little more coverage I have been really enjoying the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin flawless finish foundation. This is a new foundation for me this month but it has fast become a favourite of mine. I find the foundation blends well on my skin and leaves me with a smooth even finish, I will be doing a more extensive review on here at a later date.

A product I have been loving ever since its release in January has been the Tanya Burr lip gloss. My favourite shade which I have been wearing almost every day is Picnic In The Park. Here is a link to my full review of the lip glosses.

Another lip product which has been a saviour to my lips has been the Elizabeth Arden eight hour lip balm. I get really dry lips and find that many products just don't give them the hydration they need. The Elizabeth Arden eight hour lip balm contains all the amazing benefits of the original eight hour cream but in a easy to use balm stick.

I always find in the Spring that my hands get really dry and my nails become brittle and split. I have found the best way to prevent this is to coat my cuticles and nails with the Nails Inc Vitamin E Cuticle Oil Pen before I go to sleep, this has helped to rehydrate my nails and prevent future breakage.

Finally not a beauty favourite but I am slightly obsessed with my new Topshop Leigh jeans. These are the Moto Tile Print Leigh Jeans and they are the softest most comfortable jeans I have ever worn! I have never bought printed trousers before but am now in love with them. They add a hint of colour to your outfit and can be both dressed up and down so I've found they're a really versatile day to night item. Initially I found it hard to find my size in stores as I have long legs which was a bit of a pain but it only took a couple of days for my online order to arrive. I would defiantly recommend a pair if you want to brighten up your spring wardrobe.
